Mount BAKER

Mount Baker (Koma Kushan) is a 10,781-foot glaciated volcano in the North Cascades of Washington that provides excellent training ground for learning snow/ice climbing technique and glacier travel skills. The Mt Baker Skills & Climb is the ideal program for those looking to learn the ropes of glacier mountaineering and tick off the tallest summit in the North Cascades (and third highest in Washington State!). This program typically takes place over 3 days and 2 nights, but we offer custom 4-day climbs for those seeking additional skills practice or who want a bigger window to increase their chance at a successful summit bid.

We also offer custom ascents of Mount Baker’s North Ridge, a classic alpine ice climbing route to the summit of Mt Baker on the North side of the Mountain.Whether you’re new to glacier mountaineering or wanting to test yourself on a more advanced ice route, Mount Baker is the ideal venue for expanding your glacier travel, snow and ice climbing skills.
